everyone's getting settled into the new school year; great things are set for the new generation of future heroes and guardians. the annual welcoming celebration will be happening at alfea soon, so it's best that the new students get settled in. all three schools were to gather at alfea's college for fairies as a way to meet and greet those of the new year. this year the headmistress of alfea and the headmistress of cloud tower want to start this year off better than the last. for last year there was a hex placed upon those who entered through the gates of cloud tower, and let's just say many left with an itchy scalp. but this year alfea will be acting as host for the three major schools within the realm; and this go round nothing could happen with headmistress elanor in charge, right? so get settled in because the event is underway very soon students!

A boy younger than ten, so fair of skin and hair that at first he was mistaken for a corpse, until his too-blue eyes finally fluttered open. Rescued not by mermaids or by tritons, but by pirates. The rowdy and fierce crew of the North Wind.[break][break]
How the boy had ended up adrift at sea, he could not say. Any memory that should have been his was strangely missing, save only for his name: Valerian.[break][break]
The pirates raised him as one of theirs, becoming his family, friends, teachers and terrible influences. For a pirate was undeniably a “villain,” in Andros’s dual society. Even Valerian couldn’t turn a blind eye to some of the acts that the crew tried to pull. Although, King Neptune was still the cruelest, the most detestable, in his opinion.[break][break]
And why Valerian often used his own … power, to aid his adopted family. Demonstrating an affinity for magic rare for a child, even in magical Andros. Simple enough tricks, but effective when needing to make a quick escape at sea. A usefulness that the crew’s captain also seemed to recognize, for it was him who encouraged Valerian to study at Red Fountain. To harness and improve upon that magic – for the North Wind’s use. The latter had not been explicitly spoken, but Valerian needn’t guess his adoptive father’s intentions.[break][break]
Nor could he fault him. After all, Valerian wasn’t completely honest either. Guarding the secrets of his dreams and his own desire – to find the realm of light that occupied each and every dream of his. To find out why he was haunted by dreams of a world so different to his own.[break][break]

THEME » Valerian has oft possessed an affinity for magic, rising to the rank of a wizard at a pace not before seen in the current generation, and the ability to transcend general magic to conjuring that of his own style. Unknowingly the personification of the Great Dragon’s spirit and the Protector of the Flame, Valerian’s magical affinity is fire. And yet the fire that he conjures is not ordinary.
Blue, the same striking hue of his own impossibly blue eyes, such flames burn hotter and more intensely than ordinary orange fire. And is the only fire that he conjures and manipulates. Burning longer and at a greater temperature, it still shares the same weakness towards water as a regular flame would.

DESCRIPTION » the Wizard of Blue Flame can “burn away” dark magic, such as curses, hexes and ailments. Clicking his fingers summons blue fire, which engulfs the hand whose fingers he clicked with. Placing that hand upon one affected by dark magic, the fire will move from his hand to spread across them. Rather than inflicting painful burns, the flames sear away the harmful magic. It does not heal, for the victim of the black magic will feel adverse effects, perhaps lethargy or mild pain, whatever makes sense for the nature of the spell, but the dark magic’s intention will be no more. Use of Incendium, however, can be quite taxing.
